DO YOU HAVE A BRITISH GAS CONTRACT – DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE NOT COVERED FOR?
BRITISH GAS WILL NOT:
- Remove sludge or hard-water scale from your system or appliance
- Honour any damage that is caused to your system by scale, sludge or any other debris that they have told you needs a British Gas Powerflush (or a similar cleaning procedure) as failure to do so will invalidate your insurance with them.
- This seems like a get-out to EPG Specialists as any boiler/central heating system which is not fitted with Magnaclean (which is an inhibitor of sludge) will be liable to sludge in the system in less than one year. British Gas will charge you astronomical amounts to power flush your system and if you are not agreeable to this, you service contract will no longer be valid.
- Don’t tie yourself inexpensive contracts with British Gas or any company that has a long list of “not covered items.†EPG will take your boiler as they find it and bring it back to life – at a fraction of the cost.
